Kathryn Minard is a Certified Appraiser of Personal Property (CAPP) with a specialty in fine art and Canadian instructor in Appraisal Studies with the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). The CAPP designation is the highest professional designation conferred by the ISA. It is attained by successful completion of a comprehensive program emphasizing legal, ethical and theoretical aspects of appraising and entails the peer review of appraisal reports, approved professional development activities and a comprehensive board examination.

Established in 2011, Art Advisory.com is the operating name of Contemporary Fine Art Services Inc., a firm founded in 1981 by Kathryn Minard. Art Advisory.com provides fine art appraising, consulting and collection management services. Appraisal services include reports for insurance coverage, damage and loss claims, charitable or cultural property donation, estate planning and division of assets, purchase or sales advice, determination of probate fees or capital gains tax, bankruptcy, divorce or partnership dissolution and expert witness and litigation support.
The firm advises clients on the acquisitions or sale of fine art and provides representation in purchase and sales transactions as well as collection management, including inventory, cataloguing, conservation, restoration, framing and installation. Clients include private and corporate collectors, financial institutions, government, public galleries and museums, registered charities and law firms.

From 2006 to 2011, Kathryn Minard, in partnership with Waddington's Auctioneers & Appraisers, provided specialized services in appraisal, research and collection management through Curator Asset Management Inc.
